Rule and Achievements

Recognized as a gifted leader and tactician. Shortly after his ascension, Tiberius decisively defeated the Dravic Raja Rama and dispelled their populations from eastern Etruria. A remarkable feat considering the Etrurians had been fighting a loosing war with the Dravia for over two hundred years. Tiberius is also attributed with the founding of Attrium and the construction of the original Etrurian Temple upon whose foundations the current temple is built.

Dethronement and Exile

Tiberius was highly ambitious and some would argue that he did more in his short reign than any other Etrurian King. However, it was his ambition and lust for glory that led to his eventual dethronement. After the defeat of Raja Rama, Tiberius was required to disband the armies. Despite this, Tiberius feverishly worked to nearly double the size of his armies and announced his intention to invade Antara. As this was a violation of Laurian Law, Tiberius was deposed and exiled.

Links to Antara

According to Etrurian tradition, Tiberius and his followers travelled north through the Arretium pass to settle in what is now Tritemma Province, Antara. Many Etrurian scholars have made the case that Tiberius Rex Rumaricus and Tiber Vastano are one and the same. According to this theory, the origin of the name Vastano is the town of Vasto in Etruria, the birthplace of Tiberius. This is believed by many Etrurians to be the fulfillment of two prophesies. The first is an ancient prophesy that Anadilius shall have two sons from whom would raise two nations (Etruria and Antara). From the oldest shall rise a great empire but he shall serve the younger. According to this,Tiberius, descendent of Anadilius' youngest son and a patriarch of Etruria, established the Antaran Empire. In a sense, an Etrurian rose to be master of Antara and it was through his work that the great Antaran Empire came to be. This also fulfilled a second prophesy given by the Oracle at Pertubius upon Tiberius' birth that he would be lord of many nations but not of Etruria.

This theories are supported not only by myth, but also by the clear resemblance of Tiber Vasto and Tiberius Rex Rumaricus in period art.

Private Life

As a youth Tiberius was physically weak and timid. Later he was described as ambitious, calculating, and at times brutal and cruel.
