Architecture

An example of Haeverist Architecture.

There are three distinct architecture styles of North Shurkan architecture: Haeverist Architecture, Classical Tyveric Architecture, and native Shurkan Architecture.

Haeverist architecture, currently the most popular style of architecture within the North Shurkan Union, can be seen throughout in urban areas and in public and government structures. Named after the Haeverist ideology,Haeverist architecture has been described as the physical manifestation of Haeverism in architecture. It combines advanced technology, methods, and engineering with efficiency and social purpose in mind. One of the most famous Haeverist structures of Aurora is the Tarevi Tower, it is known world wide for its unique style and rotating structures within it.

Haeverist architecture emerged from the wider constructivist art movement, which grew out of Tyveric Futurism. Haeverist art had attempted to apply a three-dimensional cubist vision to wholly abstract non-objective 'constructions' with a kinetic element.

Economy

The economy of the North Shurkan Union is an example of a mixed economy, experiencing both government oversight and moderate stockism. This system of economics was developed by Pyotr Haeverst with the sole purpose of creating an economic system that was stable and would be in the long term efficient and beneficial for the people of the North Shurkan Union.

The government has influence in certain "strategic" industries such as transportation, energy, communication, and healthcare, In these industries, the government has a lot of oversight in its planning and day to day business due to their importance.

Throughout its history the North Shurkan Union's economy has always been centered around heavy industry and manufacturing, though in recent times this has changed (due to the end of the Second Shurku War). The next ten years after the close of the conflict, the economy shifted more from wartime heavy manufacturing to the civilian service and financial sectors.
