The Miracle Fruit Cooperative is a farm-products company operating across Onguthar and Ondesteshar Principalities, in the Kingdom of Sam'thuma. Mostly a growers' co-op, the enterprise does also operate canneries and a modest import-export operation. Designs for the member growers' greenhouses (used to extend the growing season in the Gandu Than foothills) are standardised, and several Onguthari manufacturers market kits for them. The original co-op group was limited to coastal Onguthar, but has since gradually spread over two Principalities. Over fourteen thousand growers are represented, from one-family farms to modern orchard operations near 395, Onguthar.
Sam'thuma imports some of its fruits and vegetables - enterprises such as Miracle exist on the margin between Sam'thuman cheap labor and niche products desirable outside their growing area. Some citrus varieties that are not much grown in neighboring Antara for instance are traded for the apples and pears more readily grown south of the Sam'thuman border. Miracle thus markets some produce not even grown locally - these lack the "Product of Sam'thuma" label prominently placed on Clementary and Man'drine tangerines, for example.
The company's advertisements feature the dajiini of Gandu Than foothill lore - magical beings of immense power yet somehow easily tricked into imprisonment. Such are said to have a weakness for good food, and at least one radio drama sponsored by Miracle has repeatedly used Clementary tangerines and Novel oranges as traps for the beings.
