Hey, everybody - Blast just volunteered to run the International Independent Agency for Regularization of Telephony. Or a title to that effect. <evil grin>

Um, actually EC-CESS is the coordinating body. Then again, nothing says there couldn't be an International Regularization Organization for Telephony (IROT) that became part of EC-CESS (or even competing with, maybe?)...

Actually, there's no rhyme or reason - if you are willing to devote the 20-30 minutes it's likely to take, feel free to set up such a coordinating body, and assign some sensible pattern. We'll probably all fall in line. I'd assign current and/or important nations low numbers that indicate (?) they were in on the early phone system interlinks. But that's just me.

Individual players picked their own dialing code numbers as they made up their country pages and filled in the Nation Infoboxes. This list just collects them in one place.

Since telephones are a secular, not religious matter, Sam'thuma won't want a number under 710 as its dialing prefix. Obscure reason... -- Jake 22:32 17 Jun2 2007 (CDT)
