South Heloan

South Heloan is the name of the official language of the Federal Kingdom of Lindossë, The Kingdom of Cokenia and the Republic of Zophos. More generally, the term includes all dialects of a Heloan language group spoken in southern Miotus. Dialects of South Heloan are spoken roughly in the area south of the Kipos/Onkyios River and the Elessian Mountains. These dialects can vary greatly and in some cases are not completely mutually intelligible, so some linguists classify them as different languages.

Like West Heloan, which is spoken in Sinoptikon, Nolophon Caletica, and Nolopherae, South Heloan descends from the language spoken by the prehistoric proto-Heloans. There are important differences between the two language groups, however, due to isolation and the presence in South Heloan of words with Oromo and Persii roots.
