The SPIM's political and social ideologies follow Gielbov's Tenets of Communalism almost to the letter. Areas under SPIM control are governed according to Gielbov's tenets, and the working class is entitled to the full fruit of their labor: often the rebuilding of their destroyed homes. The Inner Conflict is referred to as "The Cause" in these areas, and is widely considered to be a constructive action in the best interests of the people. Though death and suffering is widespread, brotherhood is nigh-universal amongst Sjerti Communalists, and in combat SPIM fighters are more brothers than mere soldiers, united in their struggle against their Loyalist Opressors.

Growing in strength, the SPIM has recently become militarily powerful. Having allocated a large amount of civilian support and military manpower, the once ragtag group of fighters now has several armored divisions and fighter wings under their command, plus masses of persuaded (and armed) civilians willing to give their lives for the cause. Utilizing numerous foreign-supplied weapons, and with financial backing from Communalist Governments (Such as Pravnicka), the "Cause" (As it is known amongst SPIM fighters) is an ever-growing force all across Sjertiva. The SPIM has recently been known to recruit travellers from Translithania and Hussia by posting propaganda in those nations' respective languages in major ports and at border crossings.

Military Strength, Structure, and Equipment

Military Strength

The exact number of revolutionary fighters is unknown, though it is speculated that there are at least 279,000 currently active. Though the vast majority of fighters are from Sjertiva, Sjerti guardsmen have discovered the bodies of fighters from other nations as well (Many of which are linked to the Communalist League, Aurora-Wide). Mercenaries from around the world often fight on both sides of the conflict, and the Krasliti lend their arms and manpower on both sides. The Inner Conflict is not a civil war: it is a global battle of ideologies fought between extensions of numerous democratic and communalist forces.

Equipment and Technology

The equipment of non-regiment revolutionaries can often be mismatched and ill-functioning, however many subverted Sjerti Guardsmen have hijacked motorpools full of military vehicles and raided government arsenals for the cause; thus equipping themselves and their comrades with equipment on par with their Loyalist enemies. The oft-smuggled Shurkan KR-33s and Translithanian Krasilnakov are current favorites amongst fighters; the former due to its unmatchable reliability and the latter for its firepower and wide availability (Due to Translithania's nearby location). Weapons from Odessa have appeared in the hands of SPIM fighters as well, as well as Deria, Antara, Ardea, and numerous other nations.

Clandestinely Manufactured Weapons

Though mostly active in the Western Midlands region, the SPIM has cells across Sjertiva, including many in rural areas. With constant Loyalist raids, trade of weaponry in between cells can often be difficult, and as such many fighters have taken to secretly manufacturing their own weapons and explosives. With numerous secret workshops and factories dotting the Sjerti countryside, the SPIM is always well supplied with equipment to combat their Loyalist adversaries.

Military Actions Against Loyalist Forces

The SPIM is steadfast in its actions against the "Stockist Opressors" of the Loyalist forces. Unregimented SPIM forces conduct numerous guerilla actions against the Sjerti Guard, whilst regimented SPIM fighters typically fight in a much more conventional fashion. A common tactic amongst unregimented guerillas is not to attack the Loyalist forces directly but to attack their infrastructure. Railway lines, ammunition dumps, and other lightly defended but vital targets are popular amongst these lightly armed fighters.

Non-Regimented SPIM

The Non-Regimented SPIM units are loosely organized and lightly armed bands of guerilla fighters that primarily operate in the countryside surrounding major Sjerti cities. Organized into mobile bands of fighters (Or Zjevlandi) typically named for their place of origin, these units typically stay away from major fighting (Due to their light armament) and utilize guerilla tactics against the rear echelons and logistics of the Loyalist forces. There are rumored to be over 1,500 SPIM Zjelvandi active in Sjertiva, ranging in size from five to one hundred members.

The Preljva Reglejti, or People's Regiments, are the conventional army type elements of the Sjerti People's Independence Movement. Well-equipped and expertly led, the heavily armed and well trained PR work together with the lightly equipped Zjelvandi to effectively combat the Loyalist Sjerti forces on several fronts in central Sjertiva.

Uniforms

The Regimented SPIM fighters typically utilize either homemade or foreign-manufactured uniforms. Though many SPIM fighters are former Loyalist Guardsmen, many seek to distance themselves from their pasts by not utilizing their old uniforms. Fighters on Volet Island and in the far East and West of Sjertiva utilize homemade military-style uniforms. Fighters in the main PR army divisions in central Sjertiva use Pravnick and Raipean manufactured uniforms.

PR Military Structure

The SPIM has four armies of PR troops currently active. Each of these armies contains about 45,000 men, who are broken down into Zjevati, or Divisions of about 15,000 men each. Ergo, each SPIM army has three Zjevati. Within a Zjevati there are three Reglejti, or regiments of about 5,000 men each. Each Reglejti is then broken into three Vandi, or companies, of roughly 1,700 men, and furthermore each Vandi is broken into four Tsavitai, or companies of 425 men. Squads vary in size from two to twenty men.
