The N.S.U. United Armed Forces are the overall unified military forces of the North Shurkan Union. Its role is to protect the intrests of the North Shurkan Union around Aurora and further North Shurkan national policy.

Equipment of the N.S.U. United Armed Forces consists of vehicles and weapon systems produced for the militaries of member states, usually by native industry.

The N.S.U. United Armed Forces maintain mobile military assets of various types in considerable large numbers. The N.S.U. United Armed Forces is one of the premier powers in the southern hemisphere and also stands as one of the largest militaries in expenditure and size, and its forces are fielded with some of the most recent technologies and is a leading producer of top-of-the-line weapons systems.

Branches

High Command of the N.S.U. United Armed Forces

The Commanders-in-Chief of the Combined Forces of the North Shurkan Union is the appointed Chairman and from the staff of High Command. Officially called the High Command of the N.S.U. United Armed Forces, the N.S.U. United Armed Forces is made up of leading figures and commanders of all member states of the North Shurkan Union and based around the idea of cooperation on all levels of the military. The staff of the High Command is stationed throughout the North Shurkan Union in strategic locations within their represented nation. The High Command's headquarters is located in Central Valcarma near the Old Svdarma, but in times of emergency, essential members of the High Command are transported to an undisclosed location, rumored to be called Complex 39.

The N.S.U. Enforcer Corps is the N.S.U. United Armed Force's ground force and serves to protect the North Shurkan Union from ground attack and/or invasion. The Enforcer Corps is made up from troops from each member state and are often stuck together with men who live within that member state. With this system, the Enforcer Corps is essentially made up of five different armies, each identical except for an armband placed on the soldier's right arm, which displays the flag of the nation they represent and what army they are from. The N.S.U. Enforcer Corps is composed of 70 army corps, each roughly 12,000 in each, each army corps is stationed within their designated region of defense. From the point when citizens join to when they finish their duty, they receive some of the best training, equipment, and education available. With their missions ranging from minor uprisings to intrusions of its and its ally's sovereign territory, they are trained to fight in almost all different environments which conflict could potentially breakout.

The N.S.U. Enforcer Corps are known for their training and discipline due to the lessons learned from the previous 23 year long conflict with the Krav Dominion. Often considered one of the most experienced armies due to its past engagements and current engagements in the Jistuvian Insurrection and Sjerti Inner Conflict.

N.S.U. United Fleet

The N.S.U. United Fleet is one of the oldest branches of the military with its roots laying with the Tyveric fleet of 1534. In 2073, during the founding of the North Shurkan Union, the N.S.U. United Fleet was created to make a united fleet of all of the member nations all under one maritime command. Being responsible for all naval operations of the N.S.U. United Armed Forces, the United Fleet operates five naval fleets, four surface fleets along with an independent submarine fleet known as the Fifth Fleet.

Fleet Operations and Organization

North Shurkan Naval ships usually operate in groups, but are capable of operating individually as well. The ships in a group are rotated regularly, when inidvidual vessels are called back to their home port for maintenance or overhaul.

The N.S.U. United Fleet has eight carrier strike groups (CSG) each consisting of:

  • 1 Aircraft Carrier
  • 1 Battleship
  • 1 Battlecruiser
  • 4 Heavy Cruisers
  • 4 Light Cruisers
  • 2 Anti-Aircraft Cruisers
  • 8 Destroyers
  • 4 Frigates
  • 4 Designated Supply Ships
  • 2-3 Attack Submarines
