The Imperial Apothecary Society, also known as the Apothecary Society is a learned society exclusively for the medical sciences that was established in Antara in 1509. In this role, it is a national medical, pharmacological, biological, and anatomical teaching and research organization that works with and for the Antaran Dominion and receives support from the Antaran State. Members of its council are very active and prominent members of the Antaran medical community, and it counts many of the best-known medical researchers and practitioners in Antara among its ranks. Despite its being based in Antara, the organization has members from several foreign nations amongst its Fellows.

When Antara transitioned to Dominion in 1700, it was at the suggestion of Praetor Beyon Corono and the Senate that the organization kept its original name.
