The Halberdiers are the ceremonial guards of the Serene Republic of Venantia and Floriana. They are selected from volunteers of the Army of the Serene Republic, and must meet certain qualifications. They are armed with a halberd while on ceremonial duties, with swords for officers, but remain proficient in normal infantry weapons as well.
