Location of the Cidalian Ocean
The Cidalian Ocean is one of Aurora's largest oceans. It is located in the northwest quadrant of the planet. The striped area on the map is variously known as the Eastern Cidalian, the Sea of Miereles, and the Great Gulf.
With the Miereles it would be the largest ocean, at 63,532,000km2, or an eighth of the planet's surface. Without the Miereles it totals about 55,000,000km2, placing it third in size behind the Karic and Abecean. With the Miereles, the Cidalian spans eleven time zones; over sixteen thousand kilometers. Its greatest measured depth is midway between Odessa and Pravnicka, at over 6000 meters deep.
