Caius Augusti, born 2083, is the former Imperator of Etruria and is currently living in Valcarma where he is receiving treatment for an unspecified medical condition.

Caius was considered the scion of the Tarquini Palatina family and quickly rose to the highest level of Etrurian government. As Imperator, he launched the Saluto Benevolentiae goodwill tour to promote the Pan-Danetian League and improve Etrurian relations around the world. Caius felt the Pan-Danetian League was his greatest failure but was proud of the Pan Danetian Highway and railway that resulted from the effort. He was instrumental in ending the Antaran atomic Project Hammertong with his famous white paper. Before serving as Imperator, he was a successful senior officer of the Aeloancia and was instrumental in the early development of Etrurian airpower. He was awarded the Ordo Excellenti Militari for his service. He has written many books on Antaran and Etrurian relations, including his most successful work The Lion and the Wolf: Antara and Etrura - Respect and Honor (2112).

He is a close friend and ally of Preator Rayden Belesarious. In a highly publicized affair, he had a romantic interest in Translithanian Princess Tatiana despite her betrothal to His Imperial Majesty Gallus II, sovereign of the Torentine Empire. However, the romance was cut short by a mysterious illness that afflicted the Imperator suddenly in 2118 at the age of 35. His final years as Imperator were surrounded with controversy as he removed himself from public life, spending months at a time at Aetole, the Imperial hunting estate in northern Aquitainia. He abdicated in June of 2120 and voluntarily submitted to mandatory sterilization and was stripped of his status and citizenship.
