Caius Augusti Lupus Palatina Caninus Optimus, born 2083, is the current Imperator of Etruria.
An honored graduate of the Staff College- Arretium, Command Staff Officer Program, and recognized as a effective and talented military leader.
Received high marks for physical aptitude in primary education, despite his small stature. Once observed as "reclusive" in disposition and marked down as being timid. Later noted to be ruthless and thorough when challenged. Took to music with brief enthusiasm and was criticized at age seven for lacking dedication in any one endeavor.
Excelled in his secondary studies. Honored as a student of A. Canus, who instilled the academic passion that his pupil is now known for. Approached to join the Etrurian Youth Corps in his first year, aged 10. Rose to the rank of Youth Commander, the organization’s highest rank. Received excellent marks in all subjects, particularly philosophy. Graduated, aged 16, highly recommended for officer duty.
Selected to serve his military service with the famed Arretium Guard. Immediately identified for early promotion to Corporal-Officer Select. Aged 23, named for early command of the 1 Company I Battalion, a post he held during meritorious service in the short deployment to TBD. Upon return, personally requested transfer to the Aeolancea's newly formed Strike Command to prepare Etruria's first jet fighter squadron. Awarded Order of Merit for his critical role in acquiring and employing the Odessan made Me 26, world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.
As a young captain, recognized as a potential future political leader and placed into rigorous program of career advancement. Officially reassigned to the army and elected Prefect of Atenia shortly following graduation from Command Staff Officer program, aged only 28 years. Promoted the youngest Command Major at 31 years and assumed command of I Legion, Etruria's most powerful and influential army legion. Continued to hold concurrent political and military office with his appointment to Dux of Alsatia, Etruria's most populous and wealthy Province. Soon after, named Lord Martial of the War Office, second only to the Imperator himself.

Private Life
Caius Augusti is from the Caninus line of the Palatina tribe originally from the Palatium Hill in Tarquinia. The honorary praenomen Augusti and the filiation Optimus are granted to all Imperators upon taking office replacing the older "Rex" filiation still now used by Antaran leaders. It is appropriate to refer to him as Caius Augusti. It is common to refer to him in conversation as the Imperator.
The Imperator is allowed many concubines and chief among them is Ambrosa Sibylla Esq. Tarquinia Superbia, whose pedigree includes Attrilles himself and even a god. In a highly publicized affair, the Imperator had a romantic interest in Translithanian Princess Tatiana despite her betrothal to His Imperial Majesty Gallus II, sovereign of the Torentine Empire. However, the romance was cut short by a mysterious illness that afflicted the Imperator suddenly in 2118 at the age of 35.
A long time friendship with Preator Rayden Belesarious has greatly improved the often tedious relationship between Antara and Etruria. The two met while the future Imperator was studying at the Antaran Naval War Academy. Their personal relationship has been the critical element in preventing escalated conflict between the two nations on several occasions.
The Imperator is an avid hunter and is often accompanied by his Etrurian Wolf Hound, Tiberius. In recent months the Imperator has been notably absent from Etrurian politics taking several months leave at his hunting estate in western Etruria. His aides assure the public that the Imperator is in good health and still active in the affairs of the state. However, Etruria has been absent from world politics since the Imperator's illness. Rumors of political infighting among the Imperator's advisors have become increasingly bold.
