The Wextik Space Station is a joint-developed Vamarian-Knabian space station with participation from other nations, including Valania's SpaceValania. Wextik is humanity's first consistently inhabited long-term research station in space, and the first 'third generation' type space station, will be constructed over a number of years with a modular design. The on-orbit assembly of Wextik began in 1536. The space station is in a low Earth orbit and can be seen from Earth with the naked eye: it has an altitude of approximately 340 km (210 mi) above the surface of the Earth, and travels at an average speed of 27,700 km (17,210 statute miles) per hour, completing 16.13 orbits per day. The station is serviced primarily by Vamarian Granite and Progress spacecraft and by the Knabian Agana 5 spacecraft.
