Origin
Wötenism originated in the former Teuvian Empire, in what is now central Riechstadt. The actual location is truly unknown, although there are several cities which claimed to be Wötenism's place of birth. The origin as far as beliefs is concerned was quite debated. Some claimed that Wötenism's origins stemmed from Essron, Abaco's offical religion The more accepted theory is that Wötenism was born out of the superstition of native Riechstadtans, even before the rise of the Teuvian Empire.
Beliefs
Wötenists held beliefs that taught that they should live their life in accordance to nature, and the greater order of things.
Wötenism, however, is not animalism in any way, it taught thay everything in the world has a spirit and the balance of the world will even out at all times. Wötenists often lived simply and dressed modestly in order to further develop their spirit, in hopes of helping the order of the world.
Wötenism did not support the belief of an afterlife as Cruisian belief does, but argues that the afterlife consists of dispersion of one's life essense among the areas where it is needed, this could mean reincarnation as well as not.
Structure
Wötenism lacked structure or a church. Wötenists lived and worshiped in small communities, which were isolated in most cases.
Decline
The demise of Wötenism was a long process. It began about a thousand years ago as Wötenism lost popularity. With the rise of Atheissm two centuries ago, Wötenism's demise was accelerated, to the point where it has been declared extinct, which means that there are no significant number of Wötenists.
