The Saint Urbanus Free University (Kassatic: Vrije Universiteit Sint Urbaan) was founded in 1490 as a general Cruisian university in the city of Linberg in Kassaten. It is located on a compact urban campus in the borough of Vrijburg Sint Urbaan. It should not be confused with the University of Linberg, which is a larger, different university in Linberg with locations all over the city. Because of its location and its Cruisian identity, the university has traditionally attracted many students of a Valano-Kassatic descent.

The Free University has the following faculties:

  • Arts
  • Economics and Business
  • Law
  • Medicine
  • Philosophy
  • Psychology and Pedagogy
  • Exact Sciences
  • Social Science
  • Theology
