Voies-Cieux de Basse-Georges (Basse-Georges Skyways, in Ingallish) is a major west Haromszeki airline. It runs long-haul passenger routes to distant Haromszeki Republics and to overseas destinations. It also runs short-haul routes to other Basse-Georges cities and nearby Republics' major cities. With no local air transport manufacturer, VC-BG buys planes and airships from a variety of suppliers.
In 1521 several Basse-Georgian airlines bid on a government monopoly on air transport in the Republic. The bid fell through, but the major players continue to cooperate in a near-monopoly arrangement. VC-BG constitutes some 35% of the combine, informally termed Basse-Georges Aero.
VC-BG continues to expand, most recently discussing a reciprocal route into Valania, with twice-weekly trans-Cisteuvian flights matched by a like number of AirValania flights into Tistonaj. Both lines lack nonstop trans-Cisteuvian capability, and will need to stop over at Nombrilmond Island. The 1533 experimental extension of the Ostensian route all the way south to Vamar has been a financial success, and is now permanent. All the airline's long-range Moth Industries planes are cycled through that route, to permit expert maintenance in Vamar.
Fleet
The airline operates 34 long-haul aircraft, 109 regional and short-haul aircraft, and five rigid lighter-than-air luxury airships. All operate nominally out of the airline's Tistonaj hub, the H.J. Postolka Airport, though many routes call for overnight stays at one of the fourteen cities where VC-BG has leased hangar facilities. Except for the dirigibles, all planes date to 1518 or newer. Most are much newer - for instance the 1530-32 purchase of 19 regional jets from TeuvAir of Schwerdt.
Routes
VC-BG has direct long-haul flights daily to Fitzallaine, Beliatou; Cerbesti, River District; Szidvar, Quiestrix; Nyarasnyek, Obilnice; and Ysekvadkert, Hrebenisc continuing on to Tisujszaburgh, Vrcholsce (all Haromszeki Republics) and outside Haromszek six days a week to Nagorda, Rajanan; Komsomol, Zîrkæ; Trinity, Ostensia; Solstine, Vamar; and Saffmir, Sapmi. Additionally, its regional-service jets and turboprop planes serve forty-one cities in Basse-Georges, nine neighboring Hz republics, and across the Eriea Strait, with from one to thirty-seven flights daily (158 at Tistonaj, the major hub).
