Valanian Eagle

(Redirected from Valanian eagle)
The golden Eagles are the standards of the Valanian Legions, and have been since the creation of the Empire. Many survived the Empire's fall, and although the Theocracy replaced them with crosses, they did not dare destroy the Eagles. After the Theocracy's fall, the provisional government ordered the Eagles be returned to the Legions, and some were recast to replace those that had been lost.
The Eagles have not actually been carried into battle since 1445, due to the realities of modern warfare. Thus they tend to remain in headquarters, though many legionaries still believe that they bring good luck in battle.
