The Valanian Civil War was a conflict ignited by the murder of the Valanian Patriarch Decius Curitius. The Democratic League led an armed rebellion against the repressive government, and were immediately joined by much of Valania's armed forces.
The government, led by the Consul, fled to Jalarel and held off the rebels for several months, until the last loyal Legion defected and handed them over to the rebel forces.
