Valanian

The Valanian peoples of central Valanan are the descendants of the ancient Valanian Empire. They are now mainly concentrated in Valania and Taereoca, with other major communities in Labella, Lacrosse-Michardie and Schwerdt. They are generally short, with pale or olive skin (depending on region) and dark features.

"Valanian" can also refer to their language. This is based on the ancient speech of the Empire, and is still the official language in Valania, although it is dying out elsewhere. In 1452 the Valanian government declared speaking Valanian a compulsory requirement for Valanian citizenship.
