The State_Infobox template is a ready-made table of key facts about a subdivision of a nation. It would work for Laander of teuvian nations, provinces of others, constituent republics of an empire, or internal nations of a confederation such as Haromszek or the GDR. For that matter you could use it for Duchies within a Kingdom, then for counties within a Duchy. Although it is a complex template, it can be inserted on a page simply by copying the following and pasting it on the page you wish the State Infobox to appear on. Be sure to change "your info" to the appropriate data.

I have elected to put a border arounfd the flag image, so light or white flags won't "disappear" on the light-colored infobox. A bit of gray tint to the flag box and locator map box help too.

otherflaglink depends on what other flags you want to link to. To link to the general Category:Flags page please use

otherflaglink = Flags of Scandia

The leading colon before Category:Flags provides a link to that page without making the present page (your state description) actually a part of that category. Other possibilities would be a page of flags of the other political subdivisions at the same level as the page you're on, or a page of flags of that unit's own subdivisions or cities.

You could even link to / label more than one page, like

otherflaglink = Flags of Scandia, Haromszek, Csorgyos

It's safe to use the pipe character there to separate link from label, but be careful since the wiki table format terminates input lines with a pipe on the calling page. Leaving the value of otherflaglink blank will gracefully leave no label nor link under your flag picture.

Here is an example base locator map and a customized one to use in the State Infobox template for highlighting a nation's subdivisions. These are for Haromszek. You can do your own or holler for help - several Scandia map junkies can do them easily:
