1 boderu aluminum coin, Szegelynorge issue, 1518
The Skana is the currency of the Confederation of Haromszeki States. It is normally abbreviated HzSk, within the CHzS often just Sk. The skana is divided into 100 boderu. The currency is issued by the various States of Haromszek, in a variety of forms and denominations. Their value is unified by treaty and by public acceptance of all the issues as equivalent. The law permits merchants in many Hz republics to require only their own issue or some combination of near neighbors, but in practice most are universally acceptable. Haromszeki businessmen are too sharp to miss an opportunity like accepting perfectly good money while a competitor does not. CHzS merchants tend to be quite sophisticated about identifying genuine notes and coins -- only a few anti-counterfeiting technologies are in use across the various issuers -- microprinting, watermarks, UV-marks, metallic threads, and moire patterns are the most common.
