Sea Legions

From Scandia

The five Sea Legions are the naval branch of the Valanian Army. All of these have their bases on the Valanian coast, with the exception of the Second Sea Legion, which is based on an unidentified island somewhere in the Cisteuvian Ocean. The Sea Legions operate a variable number of ships, depending on each Legion's role. They have a total strength of 134 ships, 76 of which are coastal patrol craft. All Valanian naval vessels are prefixed with Navus Valaniae which is abbreviated to NV.

Ships

The following ships are used in the Sea Legions:

Aircraft Carriers

• Imperator class. See NV Imperator. The Imperator is Valania's only aircraft carrier.

Destroyers

• Antoninus Decius class multi-mission destroyer.

Frigates

• Jalarel class frigate.

Corvettes

• Pompilus class amphibious attack ship.
• Victrix class missile craft.

Submarines

• Invictus class long-range attack submarine.
• Mortis class hunter-killer.

Other

Bases

The Sea Legions' main base is the port of Ostiae in the province of Ettaia, although the Second Sea Legion has a major base somewhere in the Cisteuvian Ocean.
