The Riechstadtan-Vamarian Alliance (Teuvian: Riechstadten-Vamarien Bündnis) is a bilateral agreement between the countries of Riechstadt and Vamar. Although termed an alliance, the agreement is actually a means of fostering cultural and diplomatic relations. The aims of the agreement are to:

  • Provide financial support to one another;
  • Provide diplomatic support before other nations;
  • Modernize Vamar as quickly as possible;
  • Introduce Riechstadtan culture to Vamar and vice-versa;
  • Form a powerful alliance in the West;

It was formed on January 17th, 1535, following the reformation of the Vamarian government and a proposal by Oliver Brendt, Riechstadt's Foreign Minister at the time.

As part of the alliance, Riechstadt constructed two military bases within Vamar. One is known to be north of Morith. The location is all that is known of the base. The other base remains top secret, with no information disclosed by either government.

In addition, the Riechstadtan government allows for Vamarian use of its naval base on the island of Südland. Both nations utilize the base, making it the first shared military base in history, and the only of its kind in the world. The facility is one of Riechstadt's most important naval bases, due to its prime location for exercises, testing and training purposes.
