National seals
From Scandia
A national seal is an impression printed on, embossed upon, or affixed to a document (or any other object) in order to authenticate it in lieu of or in addition to a signature. In many countries, the national coat of arms is a significant design element of the national seal. Although often less well-known to the general public than the national flag, seals are often used in international relations and particularly to convey the authority of the state.
