The military of Rahó consists of a solitary branch: the army, which is commanded by a colonel in a position of the Oberbefehlshaber; Rahó has no navy or air force. The army has been an all-volunteer force since 1525. It has a current strength of approximately 850 professional soldiers, about 640 enlisted recruits and 200 civilians, and a total budget of 124 million. The army is under civilian control. The Commander-in-Chief is the Prince, but day-to-day responsibility for defense matters is vested in the Minister for Defense under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration.
Rahó has participated in the Peace keeping operations since1528, has contributed troops to SCUN missions, and participates with a small contingent in the current SCUN mission in Vetlanda. The Rahó army is integrated into the Multinational Status Quo Force under Haromszek command. Rahó troops have also deployed to Vladevania to support military training programs. Rahó has financially supported international peacekeeping missions during the 1521 Melkan War. The army also has participated in humanitarian relief missions such as setting up refugee camps for Reichland and providing emergency supplies to Naarvul.

Rahó Army
The army of Rahó has four main combat formations which come under the control of the Stab Zentrale:
Zászlóalj Rahó
Zászlóalj Rahó is the first of two rifle companies - it forms the Rahó contingent of the of Rahó and Munkacz . The company is organised into four platoons - there is the HQ platoon, an anti-tank platoon equipped with TOW, and a pair of rifle platoons.
Zászlóalj Stanislau
Zászlóalj Stanislau is the first of two rifle companies - it forms the Rahó contingent of the of Stanislau and Yasynia. The company is organised into four platoons - there is the HQ platoon, a mobile air defense platoon, and a pair of rifle platoons. Zászlóalj Stanislau is also responsible the educational mission of the army, providing various educational courses for personnel to take in preparation for advancement. In order to attend Wehrschule, a soldier must have at least 18 months of service. The School is divided into two sections: Level B - this is open for all soldiers at the end of their first 18 months of service. Soldiers follow two six-month periods of tuition in both general and military based subjects prior to taking examinations. Upon gaining 74% pass marks, they can proceed to the next level: Level A which is open to soldiers who have achieved the required passes at Level B, or who have gained the equivalent in civilian life prior to their enlistment. Soldiers do a single six-month period of tuition in the same subjects as Level B, but for longer each week.
Zászlóalj Yasynia
The Zászlóalj Yasynia is the main military training unit of the Rahó Army, with instruction given in: Basic soldiering, Driving, Physical training The Company is also responsible for the army's Elite Sports Section - this is for sportsmen who choose to join the army.
Zászlóalj Munkacz
Zászlóalj Munkacz is the second rifle company - it provides the Rahó contingent to Multinational Status Quo Force as the Rahó Reconnaissance Company. As a rifle company, it mirrors Zászlóalj Rahó in organization, with HQ, anti-tank and rifle platoons.

Ranks
The chain of command in Rahó consists of the basic soldiers, sub officers and officers holding commission. The lowest rank bestowed upon the soldier when entering the military is Funker, the highest sub officer rank is Stabsunteroffizier and the highest officer rank is the one of the Colonel. There is also a transition rank of the Fähnrich. Oberbefehlshaber is not a rank but a position of duty. sub officers (SOs) are enlisted personnel, under the command of an officer, granted delegated authority to supervise other military members or assigned significant administrative responsibilities. They are responsible for the care and direct control of junior military members, often functioning in the smaller field units as Executive Officers. Officers are appointed by a Royal Commission of the Rahó monarchy. They are commissioned by the Chamber of Delegates after nomination by the Prince. Under usual circumstance most officers are required to appear before the Armed Services Committee and answer questions to the satisfaction of its members, prior to a vote on their commission. SOs are appointed by an instrument of appointment, a written document, often a certificate, usually from the service head. Entry into service is often referred to as enlistment.
There is a case where personnel serve in an appointment which is higher than their actual rank. An Oberbefehlshaber is an appointment of Colonel in the Army and the Police of the Principality.
Even the most senior SO officially ranks beneath the most junior commissioned officer or fähnrich. However, most senior SOs have more experience, possibly including combat, than junior officers. In some organizations, senior SOs may have formal responsibility and informal respect beyond that of junior officers, but less than that of fähnrichs. Many fähnrichs come from the ranks of mid-career SOs.
Uniforms
Soldiers of the principality wear 3 main issues of uniform: Everyday Service Garrison issue, Monochromatic Field issue and various Special Conditions issue, which can include camouflage of different pattern required by the circumstances. There is also a Gala uniform, but it is worn almost exclusively by the officers who are in possession or are in the process of receiving the patents of nobility. Wear of handguns and ceremonial swords is a privilege of sub officers and officers.
Insignia
Main article: Insignia of Rahó Military
Soldiers of the principality wear 3 types of rank insignia: garrison, field and gala. The ranks are denoted by the position of silver and golden colored pyramids (black and brown on the field uniforms), the narrow silver colored stripes (black on the field uniforms) for the sub officers and company grade officers, and the wide silver colored stripes (black on the field uniforms) for the field officers.[[Category:Rahó
