The Republic of Labella is located in central Valanan, one of the Doranian sub-continents. Labella is bordered by Taereoca and Valania to the east, Ængelnia to the south, and Elmira and Lacrosse-Michardie to the north.

For hundreds of years, LaBella has symbolized the great escape into a primordial, tropical paradise, igniting the Western imagination like no other Doranian country.

Description

The Doranian continent is a geographic unit that contains a number of distinct regions based on climate and geomorphology, such as Tãreoç, Valania, Aengelnia, Elmira, Lacrosse-Michardie, Kassaten and LaBella. Abeya, which now encompasses the modern country of LaBella, is generally set off from the other regions of the Doranian Continent by areas of higher elevation that run parallel to the Thalantyrian-Ingallian coast, greater rainfall, and a more tropical climate. It was this regional distinctiveness, as well as the internal geography of LaBella--largely open to the south but hemmed in by mountains on the east and the Thalantyrian on the west--that gave rise to a culturally and socially distinct people, the Labellese, and later to an independent country, LaBella.
