Fariten is the capital of Vamar. It is the site of the national Vamarian government, the Grand National Assembly, and the official residence of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.

Fariten has been the political and economic centre of Vamar since the founding of the Kingdom of Vamar in 523. Fariten was the 1534 Kwasinian City of Culture.

Modern City

Fariten today is consitered the cultural and historical heart of Vamar and has been expanding because of many different factors. It is the heart of politics in Vamar and is the seat of the government. The Grand National Assembly Building, the Palace of Ministers, and the Supreme Court of Vamar is located in Fariten.

The city is split into two parts, the older part of the city on the west side of the and the New part of the city located on the banks of the east side. The Older part of the city is the historical part of the city, which is where the most of the government buildings are and are well preserved over the coarse of history. The New part of the city is where the modern skyline is located along with many corperate headquarters.

Culture

Apart from being a large city with an active cultural life, Fariten, as Vamar's capital, houses many national cultural institutions.

The city's oldest section is the Old Town, located on the original small islands of the city's earliest settlements and still featuring the medieval street layout. Some notable buildings of the Old Town are the large Teuvian Church and several mansions and palaces.

Role

Fariten plays a very important role in the domestic and international activity. It is the seat of the Vamarian Government and thus the headquarters of almost all of Vamar's government agencies.

Fariten in recent years has been growing at a fast pace because of the many job opertunities opening up from the increasing economy and the expansion of the city.
